• Stirring: low intensive activity in order to mix easily mixable liquids. 
• Dispersing: a very intensive activity in order to very finely distribute solid matter in a liquid in a colloid solution. 
• Homogenising/Emulsifying: a very intensive activity for mixing difficult to mix liquids together. 
• Dissolving: a low intensive activity for molecular dissolving of a solid substance into a liquid.
